Dr. Hillary Taggart has been in the medical aesthetic industry since 2014 where she began her career at a plastic surgeon’s office. After building her skills, she transitioned to one of the nation’s top medspas, Elase Medical Spa. In addition to providing high-quality, sought-after aesthetic treatments and injectables, Hillary trained physicians and nurses all over the United States for the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics.
Dr. Taggart emphasizes a more natural and conservative look for her clients. She has noticed that so many offices will go purely for quantity over quality, leaving their clients overdone and looking unnatural. Her goal is to first listen to her clients to understand their needs, concerns and desired results. Secondly, she takes time to educate the client so they understand why she may choose one product vs another or suggest one area to treat in addition to a concern a client brings up.
Her technique creates a result that “Everyone will notice, but no one will know.” The extra time and attention she dedicates brings clients to Dr. Taggart’s office from across the United States, as her work and communication speaks for itself. Her energy is contagious, and her results are beautiful, restorative, and natural. It’s apparent to all that meet her she is passionate about what she does.
A Utah native, Brittany has always been passionate about fostering connections and making a positive impact, so a career in medicine was an obvious fit. After nursing school, she developed a love for medical aesthetics, rooted in a genuine belief that everyone deserves to look and feel their best. With her infectious smile and detail-oriented approach, she really takes pride in delivering natural results. She has a magic touch and the skillful eye to balance, restore, and accentuate existing beauty. In addition to her beautiful results as an injector, she has played a pivotal role in our GLP-1 weight loss program, where she has helped her patients on their journey to improved health and happiness. Her sister Brooke is another incredible injector here at Modern SLC and their playful dynamic in the office is infectious. Beyond her work, Brittany enjoys hiking and the outdoors with her husband and dogs.
Dr. Melody Scheefer is a Dartmouth-trained physician with over a decade of specialized clinical experience in plastic surgery. With a deep understanding of facial anatomy and aesthetics, she brings a meticulous and artistic approach to cosmetic injectables, medical weight loss, and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Scheefer values genuine connections with her patients, taking the time to listen and tailor treatments to their individual goals. Passionate about helping others look and feel their best, she combines advanced techniques with a natural aesthetic to enhance confidence and well-being.
Sam is a seasoned aesthetician with 18 years of experience! Her wisdom, insight and knowledge are unparalleled. She has a passion for improving the quality of others’ lives through their skin. Beginning with her own personal history of battling acne, Sam has learned and trained to become an expert on skin health and appearance. We guarantee you will be blown away with her wealth of knowledge and genuine desire to help you with your skincare needs.
Sam is the mother of two beautiful daughters and is actively engaged in her family’s busy life and schooling.
Savannah, a native of Utah, brings five years of expertise as a Master Aesthetician, demonstrating a profound passion for skincare. Specializing in acne management and scar treatment, she creates a welcoming environment for both new and returning clients, ensuring a seamless experience through her extensive knowledge and bubbly demeanor.

Niki Mattinson is a passionate nurse, aesthetician, and business woman. She has worked in the aesthetics’ industry for 8 years educating and connecting patients to the tools that drive their success. Her warmth and knowledge make her an amazing asset at Modern SLC. As practice manager, Niki helps ensure process flow to enhance the customer experience.
Beyond work, Niki spends time with her husband, baby girl, and golden retriever in the outdoors.

Starting as a Master Aesthetician practicing across Utah, Minnesota, and New York, she honed in on her expertise, then transitioned to educating future professional at the Aveda Institute in Provo.
Now, as Assistant Spa Manager, Megan ensures that every client feels not just pampered, but truly seen, heard, and understood. Her love for skincare remains unwavering; she’s always ready to delve into skincare discussions and recommendations, bringing her expertise to the office with the same enthusiasm she had in the treatment room.
Beyond her professional life, Megan cherishes moments spent with her partner, drew, and their adorable Pomeranian. Her love for the outdoors reflects in her passion for camping, while her culinary adventures encompass both cooking at home and exploring new dining experiences.

Kel has many passions including dance, traveling, and aesthetics. However, her biggest passion in life is helping others gain confidence, love themselves, and feel empowered. She makes sure to include it in every aspect of her life. She believes that everyone deserves to feel valued, and shows empathy.
Kel grew up helping her mother at the nail salon and fell in love with the beauty industry. She always loved the connections she made with people. After graduating high school, she pursued her education in Master Aesthetics, and was licensed July of 2023. She plans to continue schooling to become an aesthetic nurse injector.
She is grateful to be a part of Modern SLC and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
